Conceived as an idea by a few sportsmen and made into a reality by men of the Slate Belt and Pocono area, from which it derived its name, the Pocono-Slate Belt Shooting Association offers to the Trap Shooter a place to test his or her skill. It is for this purpose that the Association was organized. A charter was granted to the association on July 16, 1962.
